The Arlington Sibley East Lions Club held its final meeting on Monday, June 9th, 2008, with all members in attendance.  Special guests for the evening were Past International Director Maynard Rucks, who was District Governor when the SEA Lions chartered, District Governor Mary Spille, who served as the SEA Lions Guiding Lion, and Vice District Governor Darwin Mathwig, who recruited many of the charter members of the club.  After two years of discussion and working out details, the Sibley East Lions merged with the Arlington Lions Club to better serve their community and humanity.
